The Nokia 3100 operates on the frequencies of GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, For this phone to be able to operate on Rogers Wireless or Microcell Fido, if not purchased at the respective retailers, one must make sure this phone does not have a sim-lock and ensure it is unlocked. Additionally, if you are looking to use this cell phone on T-Mobile, AT&T or other USA GSM carriers, there may also be no carrier-specific sim-lock.

Great little phone this one. Bought it new when ir first came out way back in 2003 and still use it to this day, albeit a secondary one for use when abroad! Its so easy to use and the WAP connectivity means its easy to download java games etc. The only couple of letdowns compared to similar phones of its time are that it doesn't have a built in camera.

I totally looove this phone. I bought it more than 6 years ago n still using it till now. No serious problem although i often drop it by accidents n the 2 top corners are already broken :P
u can't expect many features from this phone though. But this phone is totally rock for someone careless like me :P
